Chapter 21.7

Posted on February 18, 2023July 14, 2023 by Jack Sinn

“I think I came here to have a panic attack,” Mitch admitted, slowing down to readjust the blanket that draped over his shoulders like a cloak. They’d made it about a quarter of a mile down the shoreline, with Avi positioned between Mitch and the water. Up until then, neither had said a word.  “On…

Chapter 21.6

Posted on February 15, 2023February 18, 2023 by Jack Sinn

The destination was Sandy Neck Beach, which had a good sampling of sand dunes and tidepools. Mitch visited a handful of times in the past, when Basil’s grandparents lived nearby and they needed a house sitter for a week or two. But the house was sold off after Basil’s grandfather passed, and Mitch hadn’t been…

Chapter 21.5

Posted on February 11, 2023February 18, 2023 by Jack Sinn

Other than the anticipated congestion at Wrentham Outlets -where deal hunters prepared for Black Friday sales- the highway kept clear the whole way and they crossed into Cape Cod over the Sagamore Bridge much earlier than estimated. Though conversation stayed light, it wasn’t a bad thing; on the contrary, Mitch appreciated the opportunity to let…

Chapter 21.4

Posted on February 8, 2023February 11, 2023 by Jack Sinn

While Mitch waited for the shower to heat up, he caught up on his missed messages. There was one from Calvin, which he’d deal with when he possessed the bandwidth, but the most recent one came from Jodie, sent a few hours ago. Heeeey, I need the bedroom tonightPlease don’t ask questions rnBut I made…

Smoke Break #5

Posted on February 4, 2023 by Jack Sinn

Last one! Not much to report at the moment, it’s been the usual “write, draw, write, draw” marathon. Updates will resume this Weds! Yay! I gotta say though, I’m so happy that I was able to completely restructure Chapter 21, and I don’t think I would have been able to had I not taken this…

Smoke Break #4

-All Valentine packages have been assembled, and are going out tomorrow morning! Thank you so much if you requested one, I hope you enjoy it <3 -For as much as I’ve griped about fighting Chapter 21, I’ve reshaped it into something that I’m really proud of and could not have accomplished without this time to…

Smoke Break #3

Alt title: “Oh my god of COURSE my laptop decided that it needed to restart as soon as I started typing this up” ANYWAY here’s what’s been happening around here: LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR VALENTINES They’re getting mailed out next week! -MORE REVISIONS. Unfortunately, it’s all been for Chapter 21, despite writing almost…

Smoke Break #2

Posted on January 25, 2023 by Jack Sinn

Here’s what I got so far: -Still doing revisions/editing! Making a good dent. -Scenes 1-4 of the visual novel have been fully plotted out. -Started sketching portraits of characters based vaguely on order of appearance (it’s more when they’re mentioned). I’ve wanted to do this for a good while. -Trying to work on Liner Notes’…

Smoke Break #1

Posted on January 21, 2023 by Jack Sinn

Alright, so again, I cannot thank y’all enough for being super cool with me doing this. I wasn’t even fully cognizant of how overwhelmed I’d gotten over the last few weeks. Yikes. Spent Thursday taking a breather from editing IC chapters, which I desperately needed. Not having to worry about that allowed my to pick…

Chapter 21.3

Posted on January 18, 2023February 8, 2023 by Jack Sinn

Mitch’s legs tingled when he woke up from his phone’s alarm. At first he equated it to being pinned, like when someone did a moonsault and didn’t quite get it all, landing on a limb rather than the midsection.  Then he realized that his legs were actually pinned. By Avi’s legs. “The fuck?” he laughed…

Mitch Calvert is 29 years old, an independent wrestler, and a goddamn mess. After suffering an injury during a match and being put on the shelf, he gets dumped by his boyfriend and is forced to yet again pick up the pieces of his life. He struggles with his self worth, combats addiction and trauma, and begrudgingly falls in love with his new roommate that he definitely has no chance with.

But what can you do? It's either take life's beatdown without putting up any resistance, or grab a steel chair and start swinging back.
